Retiring Rugby Stars Tribute Thread

95 caps for Ireland. Itā€™s such a shame Jamie didnā€™t get to bring up the century of caps.

Isnā€™t he still the only Irish player to be sent off in a competitive (friendly) game in the professional era?

Stander was sent off in a summer test as well more recently

he didnt ask about south africans mate

Good. Iā€™d hate for him to retire having been the only Irish player to have done something.

Stringer has 98 caps.

He has 5 caps for the British Lions so I would consider him a centurion.

Adam Jones has announced his retirement.

Am i right in saying he retires having won as many grand slams in his career as Ireland have in their history? A good warrior in his day, not many of his type still left in the sport.

Was any further information released on this?

He was adamant that he wouldnā€™t be going into the specifics of it in the post-retirement interview I heard. IRFU policy is to respect that apparently.

Jamie Heaslip regards it as a data protection issue, same as any employer shouldnā€™t release personal information about an employee to the media.

He wrote a blog about it the other day too - argued that health data was personal and that normal rules regarding workplace should apply I.e weā€™d all be a bit unhappy if our employer gave out any health info on us

He is launching a new blog on GDPR, it promises to be for Data Protection managers what Lovinā€™ Dublin is for foodies. He is very up to date on these things and you have to say he practices what he preaches.

German Democratic Peopleā€™s Republic?

Is he a closet Stalinist?

No surprise the basement dweller isnā€™t aware of these things.

GDPR is a right pain in the fucking ass.

Ainā€™t that the truth

Iā€™m pretty much an expert on it if you have any questions.
