Ill call bollocks on that, theres a minimum speand and is well highlighted when you reserve. Probably did spend that but not for two starters and two mains with 4 drinks. Been to that spot. Like any big tourist place thats in demand certain tables will have a higher minimum spend. Saying all that being there at sunset is unreal
Savannah beside it does the exact same job with cheaper and nicer food.
100% much easier to get a reservation next to the sea. Went to mambos once for the sake of it. Most bars outsode the big nightclubs charge the same as the rest of spain. Ibiza is some spot absolutely gorgeous too.
I got an Uber to the airport in dar es Salaam. About 45 mins for six quid. The best cultural experience I had whilst I was there, and the second most hair raising taxi ride I’ve ever had.
Yes I have been there; a big indoor market and then a food hall on the top floor with as much choice as you could ever want.
Have you told us before about the worst one?
I can’t remember it.
Not sure. Hopper was a baby in a car seat. We were out for dinner in alty and got a hackney back. Some 18 year old looking lad. He was doing 130 mph off the motorway and still over 100 as we hit the parkway which had a 40 limit. I was stunned or drunk into silence.
Still wonder if he’d nicked the car tbh.
alty?
Altrincham, sorry
8 km ffs you’d think he’d walk it or cycle
It’s a serious walk, equivalent of Cork City to Ballincollig
Maybe we should abandon SI measurement and move to distance between places in Cork.
A few years ago I wouldn’t have had a notion of what 8km on foot was like, I’d probably have thought it was 8k from Mary I to the Gaelic Grounds
Just helping out
Joking?
Ffs I’m mid 60 s
And I’ve managed 24 km at full pelt
Carrigaline side of monkstown ( Murphy’s pub near enough)
To
St Michael’s cemetery in Blackrock n back
Regularly do up to 2 hours on the treadmill in Mardyke arena
Highest elevation
Average speed over 7/8 km
Now took me a while to get here, but fuck me fir a kid 8 km is a doddle
My personal record on the treadmill is 3 hrs 4 minutes
My kids in Derry used hike with me to grianan an aileach
( Donegal)
At least 8 k m
Each way
Not a bother
Thats great and all that, but would you want your teenage son getting a taxi home or would you tell him to fuck up and walk the 8km home at 1am on rural roads? I’m sure the chap can manage 8kms, i dont think id want my child out on an 8k run at 1am in a rural area.
Well I wasn’t thinking of early morning no
Bicycle jobbie
I’d not let him pay that amount
Under any circumstances
Point taken
It was just a cheap Cork joke.
