There’s a popular shop in Limerick who’s door I won’t darken because of how the boss treats the staff, even in front of customers
There’s a cork sweep
If you are talking about a convenience shop, then yes, I am the same.
An apparenty popular restaurant closing up points to complete mismanagement of the place.
But of course she blames rising costs blah blah blah.
Wow the reviews are absolutely brutal.
I’d love to see the numbers from a place like that.
I do get that costs have risen fairly dramatically (and there’s a lot of digs at the rise in minimum wage) but I’d just be interested in seeing how profitable they were before and where the changes arose.
As this thread shows, prices in these restaurants have also gone up but people won’t continue to pay if there are cheaper, better alternatives.
Obvious there are loads of other side issues which have an effect too.

Minimum wage is one increase…if she had 20 staff that could be 500 quid a week onto the wage bill overnight prob need 3k of turnover to cover that
Electricity costs not far off doubled in the space of a few years. There was also material level of VAT and taxes warehoused interest free during COVID that the revenue are now looking to recover. It’s is a very tough time to run any kind of a business in Ireland. Let alone one that is reliant on a tight labour market and your customer base with less and less money in their pocket
Don’t know anything about her particular business barring thinking it was a busy spot… buy there is thousands more to come
I won’t go to a certain spar. Which means I can’t go to multiple spars
On teip advisor
They were dreadful
Wow the reviews are absolutely brutal.
Over a decade of awful reviews, all the same theme. How did it stay open this long
Pig ignorance would do it.
I went there for brunch the last time I spent a weekend in Cark - over 10 years ago. Was very good grub.
Brendan’s burritos in Cork can fuck right off. Price has doubled in 5/6 years… I asked for a kids size burrito today and she took .50c off the adult 9.50 price. A few bites and the adult one was gone. A pure rip off… I was starving after it. About 5 years ago you’d barely finish one and it cost 5 euro.
I’d murder a burrito now
And yet Brendan is making fuck all.
Higher wages equals higher everything.
But pay me more.

How does the fast food impact your gut health
It’s because his gut health is so good he can be ateing burritos and french tacos to bate the band.
Although if he keeps up with the #irelandisfull campaign he’ll be back to bacon and cabbage before he knows what’s hit him
No idea, the last fast food item i had was around Christmas
Bacon and cabbage tacos, unrale
A lot of new cars you see these days are PCP. Dont think that was a thing in the boom. Having the year on the plate is a very irish thing to show off. Its an obsession i dont understand
