Rip Off Ireland - A thread for rip offs

Edit- was looking at the wrong co.

Those reviews :joy:

If it’s the same place I won’t spend money there either. Cunt owns half the shops in Limerick which makes it hard but I try not to give him any custom. A smug cunt who is an absolute wanker to his staff from what I’ve seen

Are they going around in WhatsApp or what?

It was bank loans back in 2007

PCP isn’t worst way to buy a car as you get a minimum future value locked in (assuming that you’ve done your homework on that )

Market stall, all staff are students on minimum wage… Bar the salsa, and rice, everything else is cooked/ made on the spot so i doubt he has a mountain of staff prepping all week but what he has are probably minimum wage also.

Brendan is a robbing bastard*

*It’s not Brendan as he sold the franchise about 7 years ago and moved home to Canada.

Just on trip advisor

I know nothing about money but

The food sellers in the hospitality sector are getting absolutely rogered. Wages, food costs, energy, overhead etc etc etc.

They have to charge big numbers to get the 75% GM they need to be viable. It’s hit tipping point now and we’re going to see a shit load of operators shutting for a while.

Hotels on the other hand. Absolutely clannnnned up on the wage subsidy because of how poorly staff were paid.

Then when the market re opened they either filled them full of refugees or gouged the absolute fuck out of the prices.

However.

In my experience the owners are humans and we’d all have done the same if given the opportunity.

Because as the scorpion said, we just can’t help it.

People who for whatever accident of fate aren’t in a position to gouge are holier than though but they’d do the very same thing.

It’s just HP with a balloon payment.

Or effectively renting a car because who the fuck makes the balloon payment.

Interest rates are tough at the moment though if anyone bothered to look.

But again philosophically speaking. We are certain of death in the end so spend it like.

The company that appears to be behind that business has never really made money and indeed lost €85k in 2019 and €60k in 2018 so I’d say it was an average business at best.

Sit down restaurants are tough going.

Cafes, pizzas and takeaways is best hope in that racket.

She’s originally a Limerick woman is she not?The reviews on TripAdvisor are brutal. They can’t all be wrong.

My sis in law and bro in-law would know a lot of people who have dealings with her and said she’s a complete bitch. The bro in law manages a large cash and carry and has drivers who refused to deliver to her.

Sorry, missed this… Trip advisor reviews?

Throw them up there. Id like to red about this place

They take good management but I’ve seen them thrive if that occurs.

By and large people are gas.

Obviously there are exceptions but in the main if they can at all, will do as much to enrich themselves as possible, with morality a solid second.

The ‘have nots’ on the other hand moan about the ‘haves’ being cunts and then if they become a ‘have’ themselves turn into cunts also.

People that criticise wealthy people for managing their money are the biggest hypocrites we have. They just haven’t had the opportunity to demonstrate it.

The lads that moan about supplier costs while riddling their own customers are my absolute favourite.
