Seems to have been an exceptionally high number of road deaths so far this year…not sure if stats support that…weather can’t be helping
Speed
What’s it like in Poland if you’re caught over the limit?
Six points and about 80 euro usually. Depends on how much over the limit you are. Never see cops on the motorways. Thats speeding. Alcohol wise it’s effectively a zero limit. The guy that hit me is off the road for three years.
Is the Chair of the Road Safety Authority asleep at the wheel?
Gaybo? He’s dead shure.
Attempt #17 to shoehorn this one in lately
Spoken like a true cawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwp.

Jesus Christ absolutely horrific, the misfortune of a Father you couldn’t even comprehend it.
That’s horrific.
Rip.
Outrageous.
RIP
Absolutely Heartbreaking, two generations wiped out in an instance .
More broadly speaking it’s odd how Mayo has so many big towns joined up by so such shit roads.
This happened on one of the “good” roads. Crashes which happen on largely straight national primary roads with hard shoulders tend to be the very bad kind because they happen either as a result of a badly judged overtaking or turning manoeuvre or a vehicle losing control. They happen at speed and are head on.
The Claremorris to Castlebar road is one of the worst in the country.
Ah they’re all substandard up that way for the traffic they get. The road from Charlestown up to Sligo is stinkin . Castlebar to Ballyhaunis . Even the N5 is a rotten road for all the trucks on it and main road into castlebar or to service an airport .
I saw somewhere that the Government were looking to take the Road Safety Authority to task on the road death figures.
Too right.
Mayo needs a Taoiseach to get the roads sorted.
Not enough Michael Ring roads.
The Road Safety Authority can’t drive people’s cars or vans or lorries for them.
Personally I’d ban hands free phones in cars. They’re an incredible distraction.
Frightening. They got up this morning with plans for the week ahead. Dead by early afternoon. Life is precious.
