From memory Clare morris to Knock would be a decent enough road?
I just sent this and thought that’s close to where a lad from Kinlough who was driving a forestry truck ran into the back of a car with a mother her daughter and grandson in a few years ago and sure enough it is.Im up and down that way all the time and while it’s a good road the hard shoulders are deadly dangerous along with the slip roads coming onto it.
I was around that part of the country at the weekend.
Standard two way main road. Nothing too with it.
The N17 is very good in spots but there are some bad parts too.
I happened to be on this road last night going to a funeral and was diverted around the crash…no more than 2 kms from the crash scene another older fella was after crashing his car into a wall and making shit of it…there was a squad car on the scene and I passed a fire engine heading out to it …the driver was out of the car and talking to the guards…on my return from the funeral the fire engine was there and they were directing traffic whilst the road was cleaned from accident no 2…you couldn’t make it up
