I see Aguero did a big interview during the week saying he hasnât been fit for them in 2 years. I remember the olympic coach saying he wasnât getting paid (nor any of his team) and had to take money from his daughter.
After the Copa semi final against USA this year too Messi (of all people) called the AFA a joke, and said something along the lines of âall we ask is to prepare and travel properlyâ after their plane was on the run way for hours. As I recall, theyâd only 14 fully fit for the final. For all the talk of how good players like Di Maria, Aguero etc are, theyâre rarely there when needed. In fact, Banega was a bigger asset this Summer.
Itâs mystifying how theyâre ~this~ bad now, though. Seems like a toxic environment.
