The women are really kicking it up a notch. Tremendous tag match there on Smackdown between Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox v Melina and Gale Kim. The athleticism and skill was better than many of the male matches you’d see, and then there’s Melina’s entrance to contend with.
HBK is still off after WM. I have hardly watched any WWE programming since I came back from the States. RAW is horrendous, they’ve basically lumped all the shit lads on the same show. Smackdown is looking great though. Jericho, Edge, Morrison, CM Punk all at the top of the tree there. Best ME lineup they’ve had in years.
The highlight of the night so far is what came next:
The Miz came to the ring unannounced and started running his mouth about Cena and the Chicago Cugs being so shit. He then picked on their star player who was seated in the front row and offered him a match. At this point i thought yerman would actually get in the ring and face the Miz, but he didn’t bother.
Instead, Santino came out and the great man gave us a few laughs. Himself and the Miz then came to blows with the Miz coming out on top. With Santino left sprawled out in the ring, Chavo came out and in somewhat gutless fashion did a five star frog splash on Santino’s prone body. Nevertheless, it was an unexpected treat to listen to Santino for a few minutes. 9/10.
Ah come on now. I cant see how any match after those first 3 were going to be better than anything else that followed (I packed it in after those). And as for your “highlight”
I made a conscious decision to not record Raw last week.
I read it and was suitably unimpressed and was happy with my decision.
I read the results of Judgement Day as well.
Looks like a pile of lame.
I think it’s about time that I give up on this.
It’s slowly regressing back into the childish comic book shit of the early to mid 90s. It was good adolescent fun there for 6 years or so from 96-02.
The last 6+ years I’ve been clinging on hoping that some genuine stars would come and take the place of Rock and Austin.
It never happened.
I agree cluaindiuic. ROH has probably replaced TNA as my must watch wrestling show now. Their HDnet show is getting better and better as the weeks go on. I’ve got about 60 past ppvs of theirs that I have to work my way through. A lot of viewing ahead of me.
Morrisons springboard 450 was deadly, didnt quite it it properly but it’s great to see him being let push the boat out with his moves. Also his split legged corkscrew moonsault “Starship Pain” is a quality finisher.
Who will be the 5th man. Ill guess Hunter.
Didn’t put much thought into it to be honest. I suppose it could be Hunter though i’d have thought he’d be left for a few weeks yet, at least until after Orton v Batista at Extreme Rules.
