The Flying Doctors, The Henderson Kids, Brides Of Christ and Heartbreak High were other staples of 80s and 90s British Isles television, as well as two other well known light drama series broadcast at both lunchtime and teatime which I forget the names of.

Australian cultural influence arguably trumped any other country’s for a certain of young Irish people, so it’s no wonder so many of us went there.
