We’re all over the shop at the back, we can come out in the second half and hit 3 goals but we’re just a mess back there, all over the pitch though there has been a lack of urgency though, poor giveaways and players not bothering to track back once the ball have been given away. Pastore and Kolarov probably the worst culprits. EDF will find himself under big pressure again with a defeat here.

Ok guys, I’m signing out now. EDF position is in big jeopardy, it’s debatable whether he will get the chance to turn it around at the weekend, a win will put us back in the top 4 but the manner of that defeat tonight is very worrying.
Getting rid of him is only a short term fix in any case, it was absolutely clear of our defensive problems when the winter break came, a month later with the transfer window a day from shutting and we’ve added nothing to the defence. We have conceded 11 goals in 3 games since the winter break has resumed - ultimately the problems go beyond EDF but when you see players down tools like that out there and the lack of discipline then it doesn’t reflect well on management.
Just goes to show you that managing Roma is one of the most difficult jobs in football, you sell your best players year on year, try to cheapskate in investing in the team and when you’re 1 point and 1 place off the top 4 and in the CL last 16 you are on the verge of the sack.
A 7-1 defeat all but confirms another trophyless season for Roma. The manager will probably still get the Enzo Bearzot Manager of the Year Award for presiding over yet another trophyless season.
