Rory McIlroy

I genuinely don’t understand your point. Should Rory behave himself because he’s on BBC radio ulster. Or BBC wherever?

What exactly is your point @backinatracksuit?

He doesn’t need it from you mate, there’s these hardcore republican types who post here that wouldn’t agree at all with a young man from the North of this island using the name Londonderry in an interview with the BBC but have no problem with Marylou McDonald using it.

Do you change who you are to suit your company? Very odd behaviour.

You couldn’t make it up.

Yes, context is nothing here at all

You change your language,

uh oh, here they come

Mary Lou used it as a gesture. She was clear about her intent.
Are you seriously suggesting he should use the term because he’s on BBC radio ulster?

Mate, he’s not a politician, he probably made a judgement call because it was on the BBC, yes, that is my feeling but I could be wrong. If he’s on RTE or Newstalk he’ll likely use the shortened and more acceptable name. (for you)
He probably feels he needs to be careful, nobody on earth gives a fuck about what you or me say.

Can you hurry up mate, I’ve somewhere to be
I’m gone, sorry

You do know that you haven’t a clue about this? Why would he have to be careful? In case he displeased his imperial masters?
It was BBC radio ulster, there’s zero requirement or expectation for anyone being interviewed to use the term.
There was a time when it was obligatory for any presenter on BBC to join in in the act of cultural subjugation.
There’s something utterly pathetic about any Northern Catholic adopting the term.

Rory isn’t Catholic though is he?

He is

The little cunt.

Why are you such an intolerant bigot?

How am I a bigot?

Does he go to mass ?
