Roy Keane - Sky Sports Pundit / Walkers Leprechaun / Adidas Champion

The two of them are a bland as fuck. Thankfully we don’t have to suffer Henry anymore. He was utter useless. Mumbling his way through programs.
Sky just go for for blandness at everything now. Look at all they matey programs they horse out now.

To be liked you have to be likeable. They should get Wrighty on there.

He has got a lovely little image rehabilitation at Sky after that episode.

Ratings will always trump morals at a company like that.

Brolly saw this coming but was lambasted for speaking out

I love how it has been swept under the carpet. Fellas were and are fired for way less

And Sky couldn’t get involved in all that “Black Lives Matter” stuff quick enough either.

Spitting at a teenage girl is acceptable to them though.

I remember Neville saying before that spitting at someone is the lowest thing you can do on a football pitch.

He then went to Eir :sunglasses:

The “spitting is the lowest thing” line is gas . Frankly if I had a choice between some fella lugging on me on the pitch or deliberately breaking my jaw and knocking out a few teeth I know what I would pick

Easy to spot who hasn’t read the last paragraph of chapter 3 of ‘The Prince’ by Machiavelli

The line isn’t used in that way though, it’s not about what you’d prefer to be on the receiving end of, spitting on somebody is disgusting, it shows a level of contempt greater than he throwing of a punch, or else it shows a cowardliness that is equally despicable, throwing a dig at a fella on a pitch can be admirable in the right circumstances, spitting deliberately on somebody is never acceptable

Therefore it’s one of the lowest things you can do

Do you remember Voller and Rijkaard hocking all over each other in an international match? That was absolutely disgusting.

Spitting on anyone, anywhere is pretty fucking low.

Was Italia 90, no?

Again I would sooner be spat at the be picking teeth out of my mouth . I agree though it is a horrible act .

Euro 88?

No 1990 in San Siro .

I think it was Rijkaard gobbing on Volker. I still remember the flem clinging onto Voller’s perm. “A world class spit from a world class player” was Eamon Dunphy’s memorable description.

You can generally see if someone is going to try and do you in on a pitch.

Now, getting blindsided and a dig from behind would be an equally cowardly act as someone gobbing on you

Stop it there !!!

Voller gobbed back and they had a spitting fight

Ah that was priceless. Dunphy for all his faults is great craic.
