Roy Keane - Sky Sports Pundit / Walkers Leprechaun / Adidas Champion

I rated him as a class player, middling manager, but on a personal front he does an awful lot for local charities , especially the guide dogs in Cork + he’s not standoffish ,my buddies kid interrupted him at turner’s X recently, asked him for a selfie - no sweat kid was his reply, doubt he drinks much at all,his late dad Mossie made up for it

Middling manager ??? That’s a fair flattering rating

Is it? He’s probably above average. He done ok at Sunderland. Didn’t do any worse than anybody else at Ipswich.

Mick McCarthy did an utterly super job at Ipswich .

It more than a decade since keane had the beginner’s luck season at Sunderland

Jesus are we back to this shite again

Did he do any much better than keane? I don’t think so.

He did a huge job with a fraction of the resources keane had there . MMC operated on a shoestring and when he left the cunts went to shit

Roy needs to take a long leisurely swim in Lake Roy, then he needs to accept who he is and be ok with it. Then he’ll learn empathy and he won’t constantly be on the verge of tears.

Did Keane really have a bigger budget than big mick??

Yes . Although it was small . Mick had utterly fuck all .

Mick had a big deep yawksure accent that was perfect for management. Roy sounded like a cross between David Brent and Tommy Tiernan.
Budgets are of little importance in comparison. Roy did ok with what God gave him.

Whatever about Keane, Walsh is an awful poultice altogether

Keane is an average footballer whose perceived greatness was inflated by his ability to cause controversy and attract customers to one of the fastest growing industries at the time.

The truth is he filled a gap in a team that was flush with the best players of this premier league generation. Surrounded by true greats like Cantona, Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Rooney, Stam, Van Nistelroy, Vidic, Ferdinand etc. he was merely a small cog in a juggernaut

Would you go away to fuck, the most successful captain in United’s history, and they wouldn’t have won half the trophies they won in his era without him.

Beckham
