New Scotland manager Berti Vogts today endeared himself to his expectant public by boasting that he had never been beaten by England as a manager.
Scotland have never had a non-Scot in charge of the national team, but Vogts was keen to ingratiate himself immediately with any doubters.
“When we are playing, you can call me Berti McVogts!” he said.
