Rugby World Cup 2019 - Ireland shit the pot all over again

Oā€™Gara is both forthright and honest with his views anytime Ive seen or heard him asked his thoughts. Itā€™s refreshing to hear him forgo the massaged PR bullshit and just call it as he sees it.

Is he Standerā€™s cousin who plays on the wing for France?

I donā€™t think that was the reason they lost heavily

PR bullshit is part of all sports, though

Thatā€™s just the way itā€™s gone, I suppose

Iā€™d imagine this will come as a bit of surprise - but most people donā€™t control their wifeā€™s every utterance or action.

misogynists like Mike and @glasagusban doā€¦ They donā€™t believe that women are able to think for themselves.

Mike Pence does

Is @mikehunt = Mike Pence?

Association football is a global game, the most popular sport in the world by a country mile, Ireland making the last 8 of the WC was them punching way above their weight.

The rubby team making the last 8 is the bare minimum given about 8 countries taking it half seriously and only about or 3 or 4 take with relatively seriously with it only being the main sport in 1 country. Sure they have already qualified for the next world cup by default before the current one has finished.

Inverted misogyny.

The days of keeping a leash on your wife are well and truly gone, unfortunately.

Parades for not winningā€¦

The association team qualifying for a major tournament is a bigger achievement than the rugby side reaching a WC semi final or winning the 6 nations, relatively.

Thatā€™s exactly who he is.

Is that a threat of violence?

The optics of it all reveal a lot.

There was a wonderful colonial feel to that Ireland back line that faced Australia in the 1991 quarter final. Ralph Keyes the only back born in Ireland with Israel, Zimbabwe and Kenya all represented.

The semi finals of the rugby have a very Commonwealth feel about it. No wonder Irish rugby fans are seething about missing out.

I believe after winning just 3 of their 11 qualifying matches against 91st ranked Georgia and 197th ranked Gibraltar (twice) Eire are on the cusp of a big achievement of qualifying for what the soccer crew classify as a major tournament - thatā€™s if they can finally beat Denmark at the fourth time of asking in this qualifying campaign, or even if thereā€™s a fourth failure against Denmark, thereā€™s still seemingly a fallback position of qualifying possibly via a third crack at beating Wales who theyā€™ve already lost to twice, including a 4-1 hammering.

@myboyblue

Dan is rattled. Using the rankings when it suits his argument :laughing:
