Rugby World Cup 2023/ Crochet & Knitting chit chat

Tonga had all the possession and territory but conceded two trys already.

Immensely frustrating game to watch.

Tonga need the cash to bring these players together between world cups.

Pollard not missed a beat under fairly heavy pressure. His kicking in all aspects is brilliant.

Some old school nose bleed stymying there

I’m a diehard rubby man but gameweek 4 has been an utter dud

I saw about 15 minutes of Portugal Australia earlier. Portugal seemed to be giving them loads of it.

Are the Portuguese all amatuer? Surely be worth World Rugby’s while firing a bit of money at them. Should the Pro 16 or whatever it is these days be looking at bringing in a club from Portugal, Georgia, Romania etc.

They could split the league into two divisions so they wouldn’t have to play them all, but you’d think in terms of broadening the market. Increasing tv money etc and for the good of the game generally it might make sense.

Or just bring in the national team themselves altogether

Portugal and Spain are decent.

The question that needs to be asked is why the Top 14 do nothing.

Good idea, an away trip to Lisbon would be nice…

Well deserved

The brave and the faithful would have great craic in Tbilisi

Shame they didn’t manage that a half hour ago

The stories of how they got there would be epic

Meh, anywhere in Portugal is Spain would probably be better.

Don’t the top Quatorze and the Pro De Deux give pro contracts to lads from these rugby backwaters like Uruguay and Georgia? And Portugal too if my memory serves me correctly.

Been called for for ages but relegation/promotion from the Six Nations to the Tier 2 is surely a no-brainer, even if there is a play-off involved.

They’ll give them to anyone but don’t give a fuck outside the playing squads.

The Italians should be in the French system, it is madness they aren’t.

Not gonna happen. Money is too sweet.

The Portugal hooker plays for Perpignan.
