Rugby World Cup 2023/ Crochet & Knitting chit chat

Genuine question, but youā€™re reacting twitchily.

Back to low hanging fruit anti rugby likes after the heart rendering story about your dadā€™s love of rugby last week when it was on the up.

Classic TFK.

For some Surely thatā€™s the whole essence of sending kids to a private school ? Form bonds and networks that will last through life to help them get on.

Porter had one of those Javier Mascherano v Nigeria 2018 type games - he was simultaneously both brilliant and terrible.

It was an English ref, no on Saturday? Itā€™s getting to the stage that both sides would be better off not pushing because the thing is such a lottery.

Too posh to push.

He gave away a penalty in open play as well.

More bullshit from you. These private rugby schools play their games on Wednesday afternoons when they have half days and Saturday mornings. So next to none of the massive budget is spent on supervision.

Some mothers dream of being the mother of the captain of the winning senior cup team and being presented with the cup.

Presenting the cup, but yes.

It must be a great disappointment to a mother of one of these schools attendees when he turns out not to be good enough to captain an SC winning side. Youā€™d struggle to get over that I imagine. It would leave a mark on mother and child.

Presenting the cup of course you are correct.

Iā€™d say that dinner for 80 would cost more than all of my weddings

Incorrect. They pay every coach an hourly rate.

That is historically where the money goes.

You criticised the schools for ā€œnot paying themā€ properly but they are being paid for an hours work. Training on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays (yes half days), Thursdays and even Fridays along with the Saturdays- the majority outside of school hours.

A middle of the road school 10 years ago might bring in 3/4 past pupils who are in college and a couple of professional coaches on an agreed stipend (maybe ā‚¬10k-ā‚¬15k a year). That would have been the pure ā€œoutsideā€ the necessary funding- something which an organisation like the GGA would provide via extra government funding.

Maybe thats why your marriages keep ending?

You vicious bastard. Thatā€™s just what Iā€™d expect from a would be mother of a private school ambitious rugger mother

If youā€™d only showed you cared more, preferably with fancy china and canapes and maybe an oyster bar, then we mightnt be where we are today. You could by on an internet forum with divorced high flying private sector types instead of tfk.

One of my receptions was held in a pirate themed restaurant in Monaco- Iā€™d a nawful kerfuffle with the owner- crockery was broken and some furniture destroyed. @johnnysachs can verify it.

You couldnā€™t be up to Rassie.

He an incredible man

I was genuinely asking how much of a school sports budget would be eaten up by insurance? You seem to know these things. If you donā€™t know, just say so, or donā€™t say anything. There is no need to be such an arse.
