One player doesnāt make the competition this isnāt the gaa.
Thereās an argument to be made for either. Thereās no question what is more important for the IRFU but thatās not the point.
What I said that itās irrelevant comparing to Olympics Sevens which is a different sport.

Youāre absolutely seething because the six nations will continue to dominate news coverage from January to march and the tv ratings too.

Itās also not confirmed by DuPont that he wonāt play in the six nations. Itās just presumed he wonāt.
Association footballers regularly miss weeks and weeks of tournaments for the Copa America and even the Olympics. How often do clubs blame that for losing out on leagues?
DuPont is going over to try a new sport. He is well advised to give it a good go as we saw with Sonny Bill Williams struggles that it isnāt that easy. Same goes for Hayne with Fiji.

They are seething since the success of the World Cup. Itās as simple as that.
Iād say because heās 38 years old and his legs are completely gone.
He should not played the WC then and given a younger player the opportunity to get game time before the biggest competition of the srason.
