Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 1)

What is behind your thirst for bloodshed?

Russia has over 100k troops lined up on the border with a free, democratic country. You are cheerleading this. It is you who is bloodthirsty.

Lads like you would have cheerled the Nazi invasion of Poland.

Yopu need to lay off the hooch

Those troops are inside Russia and free to do as they like inside Russia.

So Ukraine should invite NATO troops in? Yes?

You need to stick to Yop.

Russia has a right to defend its sphere of influence just like Simon Coveney and the Cork fishermen had a right to defend theirs

Sure they should. What do you think would happen then? NATO countries line up to send their troops to Ukraine? Which countries would volunteer?

Should? Why should they? … But They’re free to do as they like

Nothing would happen. Russia would back down. That’s the point.

If you don’t do it, Russia is unlikely to back down, and then you have a much bigger problem.

This is a lesson straight out of basic 20th century history.

It’s called deterrence. Appeasement doesn’t work.

To stop them being invaded.

No country would send troops and Russia would back down? I think there’s a flaw in your reasoning here somewhere.

You’re posting like a child now.

The peaceful Russians busy calling for diplomacy and Pink Floyd while poor hysterical @Cheasty believes everything Boris tells him and is busy calling for bloodshed and Mccarthyism

''Mr Polyanskiy says the situation is being overblown by the West. “Now it’s already 130,000,” he said. "I see that inflation is very high these days, it was 100,000 yesterday.

"I don’t know where they take these figures from and we have absolutely no trust in the intelligence data from the US and from the UK.

“I think this is the same intelligence that claims that Saddam Hussein possesses the weapons of mass destruction. The hysteria doesn’t stop, it’s absolutely happening in the heads of Western politicians and not really on the ground.”

President Biden has claimed that trying to predict President Putin’s motives is like “reading tea leaves” and that even his own deputies don’t know what his plans are. But Mr Polyanskiy says the US and its allies are wilfully “blind” to his intentions.

“If you close your eyes, of course, it’s difficult to read anything,” he said. “You will not be able to read any book with your eyes closed. It’s up to our American friends, whether to open these eyes or to remain comfortably numb.”

OK Tankie.

You need to chill bro. The Russians are only having a bit of craic really. Stop getting hysterical

Lads like you would support inviting the Brits back in here.

Lads like you believed them when they said there was weapons of mass destruction. Hows that working out for you?

I was fervently anti-war and attended the anti-Iraq war protest in Dublin. Lads like you choose to believe Russia’s version of WMDs and choose to support them in their insane desire to annex a free, independent country.

Lads like you are the exact type of people who chose to cheerlead war in Iraq, as you’re proving now.

Who’s being childish?

Ukraine should invite NATO troops in you said. What countries would send loads 100k troops in? They wouldn’t. How would that make Mr. Putin back down? It wouldn’t.
