Al Jazeera is better than most news channels in general.

Do we have any Russia/Ukraine experts on here?

After 30 years of freedom from the USSR and democracy in some shape or form thatโ€™s going to take one hell of a reign of terror.

Thats a fantastic initiative in fairness

Peter frankopan wrote a book detailing it โ€ฆ

Russia has Chernobyl. A big pile of radioactive waste seems to be more terrifying to some people than the 1000โ€™s of actual nuclear weapons Russia has

Youโ€™d think so alright.

Iโ€™d say the Russian soldiers told to go and take Chernobyl felt slightly short changed this morning.

Like Ewan, we have experts on how to google Russia and Ukraine

You get the feeling, that despite all the talk the Ukrainians are on their own here and Putin knows it.

So I was right

The average Russian wants nothing to do with it

Biden just made that very clear (in terms of US / NATO assisting in Ukraine territory) in his press conference, in his usual way of stressing certain things that he shouldnโ€™t really stress.

Ukraines entire history is essentialy getting roughed up by all its neighbours, Even Poland and Lithuania used to take turns. To its credit it is the only nation where Anarchism ever really took a hold. The great Nestor Mankho started a peasant revolution and took on both the Bolsheviks and the Whites back and won great victories at Perenovka and Komar before being betrayed by the Don Cossacks at Melitopol. His spirit lives on and he is a national treasure in the the Ukraine and the hearts of right thinking people all over the world

An interviewer filleted a Russian politician earlier.

There seems to be less sensationalist coverage too.

Who was once his father

Hopefully they rise up to stop this
