Can you expand on this ? Will they loose the likes of Kiev and that soon or what?

At what point does actually making peace become the only move here? Realistically, what’s being achieved keeping this going

Never

Perpetual war? Invade and conquer Russia?

The stakes are the same as World War II. Should the Nazis have been given in to for the sake of “peace”?

There is no such thing as “peace” with the likes of Hitler or Putin.

If the americans can manage a russian victory with an ongoing Ukrainian rebellion they’ll be delighted. They’ve repeatedly shown the world that they’ve absolutely no interest in peace.- mugging themselves off spectacularly by making Xi look like the adult in the room.
If zelensky had the clout he’d propose a neutral ukraine with a demilitarised donbass monitored by an international peacekeeping force. Putin would lose credibility with half the planet should he refuse

It’s as simple as this… Ukraine have put up a tremendous fight and have inflicted a lot of loses on Russia but they are also losing a lot of men themselves at a rate that’s not sustainable. They also only have a few months of munitions left - nato is totally depleted and they’re going around begging any country they can to provide ammo and old tanks and what not. The fear is at the current rate they’ll have to fall back and consolidate their position. Putin has been spending up to 50k shells a day raining bombs down on Ukrainians… An unmerciful level of destruction. Ukraine is limited in their res.ponse as they don’t have the munitions currently.

They will be getting 30 or so state of the art tanks soon that are space age compared to what the Russians have so they might make some difference.

Put Putin has swelled his army by 250k over the last couple of months to about 650k and has most of it held back in reserve .

Ukraine are facing a munitions and man shortage in the coming weeks/ months and will need a break through in the next few weeks or it could all turn to shit by Christmas. Hopefully the new tanks are aircraft make a difference but they’re losing badly right now, Putin is bleeding them slowly.

So we slog on forever?

No Russia, can’t make any advances cause they’re shit. Ukrainian counteroffensive expected in spring.

Putin will make peace when he has no other option. Ukraine will force Russia back another good lot, if not out completely.

I’m sure people said the same as this in 1942. Thank christ they didn’t prevail.

The west should throw throw the full weight of its collective military might behind Ukraine and then push into Russia and impose the most penal terms possible on it, make it a vassal state.

There’s no hope for Russia in the future unless it’s made a western vassal state.

Putin must be dethroned from within or it doesn’t stop imo

So, Ukraine hands over a large swath of land in reality?

I’ve said literally nothing that’s remotely pro-Putin
