Giggs is a wanker but if you have any bit of profile at all now a woman can put your career on hold for a few years with these sort of claims.
Surely these cases should move much quicker. A top level sportsman is always suspended and even a year out can be huge for what are usually short careers.
The phone messages make Giggs look bonkers but undermine her story too.

Some of the messages sent were revealed in Manchester Crown Court today.
āThese arenāt just fake promises.ā
'I mean it, now stop being a baby and call me please.
'Otherwise I will stalk you like mad, and you know how good I am at that [smiley emoji].
'And I will come to yours and I will get in! Or wait until youāre leaving anyway.
'Look forward to hearing from you, Ryan.
āKeep ignoring me. Iāll see you soon.ā
Other emails sent by the former footballing star described Ms Greville as a āhorrible c***ā, and repeated several times his hatred for his partner.
Giggs also told her he became so angry he was āscaring himselfā over what he might do.
āThe way you have just treated me and the way you have behaved FYI I will never forget,ā one email read.
āA horrible, horrible c***. The same as [Giggsā ex-wife Stacey Cooke], exactly the same. You donāt deserve to be a parent.ā
Another message read: 'I am so f***ing mad right now Iām scaring myself because I could do anything.
āI actually hate you for what youāve done to me. Hate you. HATE HATE HATE.ā
