Indeed. And knowing he has absolutely no right to have been awarded the job ahead of these two Scottish golfing giants, McGinley tries to curry favour by selecting Gallacher. But he sacrifices the strength of his team by leaving out Donald - a peerless foursomes operator with a wonderful Ryder Cup record. A total shambles and overseen by a charlatan in McGinley.
Thank Christ weâll all be spared the Luuuuuukkkkkeeeee chants from the crowd every time Donald hits the ball.
I find that very annoying and itâs nothing like the way we chant Boooooooooo when Mr Weekley fires one down the middle
Boo is an alright sort. Luke is a cunt
McGinley is Mr. Weakly (in how he captains).
I predict heâll name David Moyes as a vice-captain.
Does anybody care who wins the Ryder Cup anymore?
Seems to be a competition that belongs to a by-gone era/corporate hospitality.
Itâs been well established on here that the Ryder Cup is in fact the last true form of Golf, and that anything else utter cock.
Itâs a low bar and a handy excuse as the comments on this thread display a knowledge beyond what is gleaned from watching a Ryder Cup every so often. The only golfers a non golf follower should know anything about are Jack Nicholas and Alan Hansen.
A Venn Diagram of Ryder Cup advocates and Leinster/Munster supporters might be revealing as to who is an insecure social climber who felt the need to fit in when he started to work being uncertain and insecure as to the acceptability of other sports in the corporate world.

What in the name of God are you waffling on about? This battle of the continents is the greatest event in the world.
I can honestly say I dont think thereâs anything to match the sheer tension that exists during both The Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. Its almost like war, in fact sometimes, like Kiawah, it is war.
I thought he might have a squeak but clearly Paul McGinley didnât feel the 1995 Ryder Cup heroâs game wasnât at a high enough pitch to be included.
Youâre going on as if people pretend to care about it. You must be a very cynical person. I canât wait for Bubba Watson to walk across the line of some European cuntâs putt or Rickie Folwer refusing to concede an 18-inch putt. Battle lines are being drawn and weâre coming for victory.
I worry about Team Europe in the etiquette department under McGinleyâs stewardship. This is a fellow who went and jumped in a lake after holing a putt on the 18th at Wentworth in 2002. Team USA certainly wonât be found wanting in that department with Tom at the helm.
