One in the last 85 years I think.
If Celtic got safe passage to the last 4 of Europe every year they would have too.
Limerick were Dara o Se’s fingernails from winning in 2004 . The closest a outsider got in Scotland was 1991 when Aberdeen went to Ibrox in last day needing a draw
Cork and Kerry have won 83 of the last 84 Munster Championships. The Scottish league is 38 games long, the Munster Championship requires a maximum of 3 wins.
Not even Rangers deserve that comparison
The fact that it is a league basis with many games favours the bigger clubs more .
Absolutely.
In a knockout competition it’s an absolute disgrace that 2 teams in a 6 team competition have won 83 of the last 84 Munster Championships.
It’s a bit like the Ulster hurling championship. Oh hang on they don’t bother their arse with that.
I think there was a rule brought in a while back to ensure that Cork and Kerry are basically on either side of the draw in the Munster Championship.
Surely there’s a case for wrapping up the League of Scotland. Glasgow Rangers have won it 54 times and Glasgow Celtic 51. With Glasgow Rangers I understand ceasing to exist in 2012, is there any real point to it anymore?
Glasgow Celtic superfan @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy was saying last season I think it was that he reckoned they were good for 17 or 18 in a row. That’s been modest I’d say. Hard to see anyone else ever winning it again really.
Hurling?
Pah.
Last season?

Celtic’s only competition ceased to exist 8 years ago and lads will be going on like the 10 in a row is some kind of achievement
It’s an unprecedented achievement.
9 in a row has been done a few times now.
Is it the truncated nature of this season and not winning it on the field of play that makes it unprecedented?
The only competition died 8 years ago. If Celtic had died rather than Rangers, then they’d eventually get 10 in a row easily also. The all time record in Europe of 14 in a row will be handily secured as well
Interestingly, Celtic, Juventus, The New Saints and Ludogerets are all in line for 10 in a row next season
We’re talking about 10IAR.

It’s an unprecedented achievement.
Just in Scotland, a country where two clubs have dominated for most of its history and then one of those clubs died
