Scottish Football (SPFL, Scottish Cup, Bet Fred Cup, Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Challenge Cup)

How has Brown done for them this season ? He looked like he’d ran out of gas at Celtic

Couldn’t see it but would be interesting from an outside perspective

He could potentially be a player manager or retire and take over ala Rooney

But would the Aberdeen fans have that ?

Haven’t paid much attention to it. Hasn’t played every game and has been used in a back three at times too apparently. Seemed to do well in two games against the huns, but not sure how he’s been going generally.

So much for romance of the cup … with one fixture to be completed the 7 remaining teams are all in the top division …

The sideshows in jocko football are very entertaining. Maybe more so than the actual football itself (lolz). Think Dundee had won 2 games in a row (one cup) so it was a little surprising to see them sack McPake. But you think they must have been tracking somebody for a while and finally got their man. Then it turns out it’s Mark McGhee who’ll be banned from the touch line for the first 6 games of the 13 remaining to avoid relegation. It’s possible/probable they didn’t even realise he’d be carrying this ban over from his Motherwell days when they announced his appointment.

I see Tramore native Jim Goodwin has moved from the managerial hot seat at St Mirren to Aberdeen. With career progression like that, he should be taking over at Old Trafford around November 2026.

That’s a terrific point on the road for Sevco

Wasn’t watching because I didn’t want to jinx it, but why was there 8 minutes of injury time? Prolonged stoppage(s) or Bobby Madden having a laugh?

Boabby missed a stonewall penalty for sevco, absolutely blatant. He’d want to check under his car for a while.

Keeper was down injured for first 2 minutes of injury time. 5 was the decision and there were plenty of stoppages.

Nasty oul headclash that. Hun looked offside too.

You’d think this is the exact type of game Ramsey was signed for - add that bit of quality to get over the line … injury haunting him already

Just watched some of the post game bit. Pundits agreeing that the huns played very well, were unlucky, could/should have had two penalties and came up against a very stubborn and well drilled side. That said, it’s another away game against a top six side where they’ve dropped points. I mentioned last week that their fixtures have been weighted so far to have 2 home & 1 away v the top 6 by end of game week 33 so they’ll have plenty of these type of games in the last phase of the season.
