If the Scots were a separate nation looking to join the union can you outline what would transpire?

No.

Imagine Scotland was already independent… And wanted to join the union…this is what we will get #anotherperspective pic.twitter.com/9OiScZMlNH

For the moment, I’m just concentrating my energies on the issue at hand next Thursday.

When did Dole day move?

The Guardian yesterday were highlighting that a clear trend from their detailed polling, was of the Yes vote being higher in areas of the bigger cities amongst the unemployed. The likelihood is that a sizeable portion of the Yes vote will spend next Thursday in bed and not make it to the polling booths. Those that are likely to turn out in the biggest numbers are Labour diehards and will do as Alasdair and Gordon tell them.

Those with jobs will pay more and more taxes in an independent Scotland to fund the wasters. Salmond wants some kind of a socialist workers paradise. Unfortunately the workers won’t benefit from it.

Now that the big boys down south have spelled out the financial consequences the independence dream is over.

I surprised the hear that the unemployment rate in NI is only 6.5% ???

Public sector accounts for 30% of total workforce up there so the percentage of people up there receiving benefits from the exchequer is really 36.5%. An astronomical figure when you think about it.

Is that the catholic rate or the Protestant rate?

lads, im in an out of this like darky bluebell but would it be fair to say that the establishment have put the shits up the scotch now with the ā€œpotentialā€ finacial implicatons and this thing will be rejected?

Unfortunately this is exactly what is going to happen. Westminster will punish the Scots and although the genie is out of the bottle regarding independence, the Scots will be lucky to get another referendum within the next 20 years. The English will have bled them dry by then.

This is an incredible chance for the Scots, I hope they don’t bottle it. But with this ultra negative campaign being waged at the moment I fear enough people will be scared out of voting for independence.

The other way around I reckon.
