Whatās with the battered sausage option? Why didnāt you got for something where food quality would be more obvious, like a burger or kebab?
Word of advice Farmer,
You may want to read an entire thread, or at least the last few posts on the thread, to get a feel for the discussion as opposed to commenting on one post with no clue of what your talking about.

Touch.
Apologies - but there is something about a thread on Limerick chippers that doesnāt really whet the appetite (pun intended).

Thank you Farmer.
The battered sausage option was taken for 2 reasons:
The Dunph suggested battered sausages are superior to quarter pounders elsewhere on this thread, and thus a better measure of a chipperās abilities.
Food quality: 4
The chips were fresh, home-cut and from real potatoes. They were flawless really. As per the rules i also sampled two battered sausages. These were splendid, far superior to any battered sausage iāve had in rival eateries. The only reason i havenāt awarded a 5 is that i like my bag of chips to be thoroughly soaked with vinegar throughout. When asked would i like salt n vineger, i nodded approvingly. The attendant was too liberal in my opinion with the bottle and to my horror neglected to shake the bag, the result being that only the top half of my chips had received the vinegar, the bottom of the bag being bone dry.
Value for money: 5
ā¬5.60 for a large bag of chips, two battered sausages and a can of 7up to quench my thirst. This is very competitively priced for the area considering the quality of the product and the current economic clmate. I applaud Luigiās on this front.
Staff appraisal: 2
The two lady attendantās were non-nationalās, and to the best of my knowledge non-Italianās too. I think in light of the high rate of unemployment in the mid-west area at present, it would have been a nice touch if Luigiās had employed some local workers to keep some of the work in the locality. This is something that the likes of Fuscoās in Garryowen has embraced so to me itās unacceptable that Luigiās havenāt followed suit. Also, neither of the two lady attendantās were wearing low-cut tops. Again, a few marks deducted for this.
Efficiency of service: 5
I canāt fault them on their speed of service. The whole process was over in less than two minutes.
Facilites overview: 3
Ultra clean facilities, a few nice paintings on the wall. Marks deducted for lack of reading material however.
In light of The Dunph Ultimatum, the following establishments were reviewed yesterday as part of my ongoing efforts to experience and explore the greasy world of oil-dipped culinary delights.
Rathbeale Takeaway:
Doras Takeaway, Applewood:
Fingal Caf, Main St, Swords.

Excuse my ignorance but iāve never heard of any of these eateries T_E, are they all new to Limerick?
Dunph, i have a review to put up of Cheap as Chip on Mulgrave St but Iām too lazy to do it at the moment. It was actually a group review, similar to the way pub spy operates, and I am pleased to announce that this place is a very welcome addition to the Limerick chipper scene.
Excellent stuff, looking forward to it. I passed this place the other day actually, but didnāt go in as i said iād wait for a review first.
Itāll probably take a few days to compile all the data and run a few reports before I can come up with my final totals for the review, but it will definitely score highly.
They had a few interesting burgers such as the āObama Burgerā and āThe Urban Legendā but unfortunately none of the commandos were in the mood for a burger.
Chicken hut gets a mention in this. The video is stupid but song is class. By the Rubberbandits who Iām sure all good Limerick/Clare folk will have heard of.
Food quality: 2
Chips were very poor bit hard, not crispy and no salh n vineker.
As per the rules i also sampled two battered sausages. These were lovely infairness but the chips ruined it.
Value for money: 5
As always good value to be found.
Staff appraisal: 1
Salh and vineker?
Ya loads please.
Whats so hard to understand about that?
Efficiency of service: 5
I canāt fault them on their speed.
This is my second disapointing visit to Luigis in the last two months. In contrast with a magic Donkeys I had lately. I fear Luigiās are slipping
