Seedorf looks like heâs going to get the gig. I find this a strange appointment, if they were going for an inexperienced manager you would imagine Inzaghi would have much more over him given he has coaching experiences and would be familiar with the Milan youth set-up.
Clarence Seedorf has today announced his retirement and will become AC Milanâs new manager.
22 year playing career!
A statement from the fans (Curva Sud) read: "The Curva Sud wishes to thank Mr Allegri, who after a logical decision from the club, parts company with Milan.
âWe wish to thank him for the Scudetto and for the qualification to the Champions League, but above all for the man he has proved to be!â

That exclamation mark seems really badly used there.
Seedorfâs a strange choice and I wonder are they pandering to Milan supporters by appointng a Milan legend? Heâs an interesting character and clearly highly intelligent, I hope it goes well for him, but it will be an uphill struggle. Apparently Jaap Stam will be assisting him, is this correct? Funny how few of the great Milan players have gone on to successful coaching careers.
Milan supporters have had plenty of banners in the last year or so since Allegri was rumoured to be on the way out specifically saying they didnât want Seedorf and needed an experienced coach. I agree that he seems like a sharp guy so itâll be interesting to see how this plays out.
Juve and Sampdoria was very good this evening.
Juve ran out 4-2 winners, Pogba scoring a screamer. Sampdoria were very unlucky, showed great heart to keep coming back at Juve and Gabbiadini was excellent tonight, creating the first, scoring the second and then hitting the bar at 3-2, he also hit a smashing long rang drive in the first half that skimmed the post as Buffon watched on helplessly. He looks to be coming on nicely even though he is playing slightly out of position on the right wing.
Nice to see that batch of Italian strikers all finally beginning to find their feet after an indifferent last season (Gabbiadini, Destro, Immobile and Borini). Three of them on target today and Immobile returning from injury for Torino tomorrow.
Llorenteâs having a significant impact with Juve now. He was prematurely written off in some quarters.
Debating what game to watch right now but think I will opt for Sassuolo and Torino where I can see Juveâs two best attackers in action - (Berardi and Immobile).
Matri makes his Fiorentina debut - I think he will do well there, they create loads of chances and I feel they will suit his characteristics.
Immobile and Matri on target.
Atrocious waterlogged playing surface in Sassuolo at the moment.
A second for Matri.
Seedorf has picked the same defence that started last weekâs horror show against Sassuolo.
It looks as though Vucinic is on his way to Inter

@Rudi has been all over the place on this thread.
Llorente is the fifth highest scoring Juve-owned player in the league this term.
Romaâs Nico Lopez has dumped Clarence Seedorfâs Milan out of the Coppa Italia. This was Milanâs most realistic chance of European football next season. The early signs have not been good for Seedorfâs reign,

Hopefully that will put him out of the World Cup picture.
