such a pity Di Rossi is injured as Florence are a grand team
Acqualiani and some guy whose name begins with an R and wears number 4 are very decent in the middle, awful, fucking awful defense tho

Roncaglia wears the no. 4 and he is a centre back who fills in at right back occasionally. Fiorentina play pretty football but are soft in defence and Neto is a dreadful keeper.
roncaglia, thats the guy, he did some amount of attacking tonight, its total all out attack soccer, but christ their defending is Bundesliga standard
The defensive standards have taken a dip in recent years, particularly among the top teams. Obviously Juve and Roma are really good defensively as the stats show but the other other top teams are pretty poor. I don’t think it’s really to do with a shortage of good Italian defenders but more to do with the outlook of clubs. Personally I think this is a failiure of teams promoting young Italian defenders and instead opting for average overseas equivalents. .
The two Milan clubs are an absolute joke right now. Inter probably take the biscuit though, you could argue they have the best youth academy in the country and one of the best in Europe. Over the last few years they have brought through the likes of Balotelli, Destro. Bonucci and Santon who are no longer at the club. The Italian team that made the Euro u-21 final this summer had an Inter back 5 of Bardi, Donati, Bianchetti, Caldirola and Biraghi - none of whom are at the club this season - 2 of them sold to the Bundesliga and the others off on loans or co-ownerships. They also have a very promising 18 year old midfielder on loan at Livorno in Marco Benassi - he scored today - and he will probably be offloaded in the summer. And yet they stock their club with really sub-standard journeymen players.
Milan have some good young players in their squad - De Sciglio, Cristante, Balotelli, Saponara, Petanga and El Shaarawy - but they still insist on adding a host of average players to their squad and playing them ahead of some of the younger and more talented options. They are signing Essien now who is finished and he will likely get more game time than Cristante and Poli despite they latter two having more to offer and scope to improve. They also persist with a chancer like Robinho and an average player like Birsa in front of Saponara. The spent €12m in the summer when they could have just let Petanga act as the backup striker and spent that money on bringing in a reputable centre back or left back.
AC Milan are supposedly offered Torino €10 million to Torino for co-ownership of Alessio Cerci
Also confirmed they are in for Taraabt.
Why on earth would they want him? They just a poor man’s Robinho - who is a cancer at Milan.
If Lazio beat Napoli tonight in the Coppa we will have 3 Rome derbies in the space of 8 days, starting on the 5th of February.
A late Higuain strike looks like it will send Napoli through to face Roma in the semi final next Wednesday, there is of course a return leg as well.
Napoli getting spanked by Atalanta, 3-0.
Wheels coming off badly for Benitez.
Stunning double save from Handanovic.
Lichtsteiner puts the old lady 1 up
Matthew Lillard puts Juve 1 up after an exquisite pass from Pirlo.
Chiellini makes it two. What a player.
Is this the worst Inter team in over 20 years?
Vidal makes it 3-0.
The likes of Kuzmanovic has no business playing with Inter. They’re diabolical.
Rolando with one back.
Juve looking a bit rattled since conceding.
Botta has looked decent since he came on.
Inter giving Juve a few nervy moments here.
