Serie A season 2011/2012

This has been a sensational game. I think Zlatan should take up Mourinhoā€™s offer to join up with him in Madrid.

2 minutes additional time in Trieste.

Zlatan is too good for Spanish football.

The last thing we want on such an occasion is hooliganism which could lead to accidental murder.

Even Totti wouldnā€™t begrudge Del Piero this title. Wonderful smile on his handsome face.

And weā€™re all over.

I begrudgingly compliment Juventus on their deserved title. Conte has done an unbelievable job. Milan have been decimated with injuries all season though.

A half naked Chiellini getting the bumps.

Thinly veiled ā€œif David Villa had stayed fit, Barca woud have won La Ligaā€.

Francesco will lift it next season.

Please leave Spainā€™s shame out of it. This is a thread dedicated to calcio.

That was some strike from Maicon.

The last time Juventus won Serie A, Italy won a major international tournament that summerā€¦

As much as I despise them, a strong Juventus is good for Italian football. Iā€™d expect theyā€™ll target a few top class attackers in the summer and if they succeed in that in addition to adding a little depth to the squad they can be one of the top contenders to win next seasonā€™s CL.

Stramaccioni has been appointed Inter manager on a permanent basis.

Cracker of a line from Luciano Moggi today.

ā€œOf course Juventus ought to put the third star on their jerseys,ā€ Moggi told Radio 24. ā€œIf it were up to me, Iā€™d nail it to Morattiā€™s forehead!"

Elsewhere, Alessandro Nesta will announce a decision on his future tomorrow, whether he will renew at Milan, retire or move to the NY Red Bulls.

Andrea Pirlo: ā€œAllegri wanted to play van Bommel or Ambrosini in front of the defence. Iā€™d have to change role. I said ā€˜no thanksā€™ and joined Juve.ā€

Juventus back on top where they belong
(as predicted by some on Mr Tottiā€™s preview thread before a ball was kicked  )

Sandro is leaving Milan at the end of the season. He will also be leaving Serie A as he wants to play in a ā€˜less demandingā€™ league. Quite possible he could move to England, Spain or Germany in light of that comment but the NY Red Bulls remain favourites. An all time great, one of the best of his generation.

Gattuso and Inzaghi will also be following Nesta out of the San Siro at the end of the season. Itā€™s only really Seedorf and Ambrosini that remain now from that great Milan side and Seedorf is widely expected to leave as well.

Zambrotta, Yepes, Van Bommel, Ambrosini, Seedorf, Zambrotta and Flamini are all out of contract in June and none have been offered a deal yet. Out of that lot Iā€™d keep Flamini and Ambrosini.
