Shinty & International Rules Series Thread - again, yes it's happening fucking again

It says Dermody is from Kildare but I think he might be from ballycallan in Kilkenny.

That was as good entertainment in one half as you’ll see in two games of the football. I’m pleasantly surprised.

Cheers cld, he acquitted himself well up to the second goal. Is Johnson out there, if so havent seen much of him and thought Magic would stand up well in this. Shocked to see Rowney named, didnt think he’d be enough of a stickman for this.

This is much better stuff than what will follow it but I’ll only be only be in for the second match. A 50 minute gap between matches on a cold evening doesn’t attract you to get up to Croke Park early. Should have gone for this and then left straight after it actually.

How come there is nobody from tipp, waterford, clare, limerick or Wexford?

How is Patrick Horgan doing?

CLD I think a few years ago Ireland started favouring the weaker counties for this but I could be wrong. I’m nearly sure they used purely Ring Cup players at one stage. Horgan hasnt stood out Turenne.

DP

Great point there

Karma for Tommy Walsh as he gets timbered across the shin

Thought that myself

You could play golf with a shinty stick. It’s like a 1 iron. They get some length on ther strokes. You could make up a golf/shinty compomise rules game. Any other ideas for compromise rules between different sports?

Hurling/Egg and spoon racing.

KIB will be delighted with the 2 pts for the scores off the ground in this.

Sid who was the 12 yr old in the studio at half time?

Donal Og Cusack did that in the replay against Waterford this year and it looked ridiculous.

Very enjoyable fare that, really decent fare with skills from both codes coexisting. A worthwhile experiment.
