Shinty & International Rules Series Thread - again, yes it's happening fucking again

Its actually not.

Could have done with McCarthy, Cluxton and Killkenny maybe. Keegan too

But what others would be in that are significantly better?

How did we get on in the Shinty at the weekend @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy?

the scotch?

Dermo

First time in a long number of years Colm Begley hasn’t been included.

Edit, 2006 acc to Wiki

Begley has represented his country in the International Rules Series on no less than 12 occasions; in 2006 (2 test matches), 2008 (2 test matches), 2010 (2 test matches), 2011 (2 test matches), 2013 (2 test matches), 2014 (1 test match) and 2015 (1 test match).

Is there drug testing for this ?

Couple of token duds and cardboard hardmen in there ie Cads

injured his ankle in training last Friday and is in a moon boot now. dont know how serious it is, but wouldnt be worth taking a chance anyway

Cadogan is proper hard

Mannion, Cooper, Fenton, McKaigue, Colm Cavanagh, Peter Harte, McKernan, Paddy Durcan, Heavron, Parsons, McKiernan, David Moran, McBrearty, Ryan McHugh, Tiernan McCann etc

It’s the nature of it that not everyone is available, I think it’s the strongest squad for it in a while

Cavanagh & Tiernan McCann? :joy::joy::joy::joy:
Well at least Cavanagh turned up for semi.

Cooper - nah. No better than most backs there. Not good enough to be too worried anout it
Moran???seriously. Not very good at all this year and certainly not made for Aussies away.
Durcan - possibly

Fenton, Harte, McBrearty - ya, would have them

The rest, just lads who happen to be IC or indeed were simply unavailable

Nice mix of size and pace

Why hasn’t Cooper put himself forward?

Are you still laughing at Colm Cavanagh you loonball? I thought you’d be trying to pretend that never happened. He has firmly established himself as one of the top players in the game and hope he gets a deserved All Star this year.

Another example of how little you know about the game.

He is a trier

A lot more than Ian Maguire is or ever will be.

This is about Cavanagh. Why bring McGuire up?

McGuire is streets ahead in trms of ability and athleticism. And he is an outrageous “trier”

He was very good as a proper midfielder against 2 of the best 3 teams in country last year and was absolutely outrageous in 2 County finals a standard so far ahead of Tyrone club game its staggering.

You insecure weirdo

That’s laughable. Maguire is a bog standard midfielder. Cavanagh is one of the best in the game. There is no comparison.
