I’m going to
What a very strange way oif looking at it. Gooch may well have played only for Crokes games. plus its up to Gooch (or anyone) to play within the game. And i think that the fact you blame the C-R for Munnelly’s form dropping is strange as well, and reflects more on him than the game. For a man who likes to portray yourself as a man’s man in regards to football it is a strange outlook anyway.
I agree the Inter-pros would be nice to watch if taken seriously(standard could be unreal), but there is simply no appetite for it, people want something different, the pro versus amateur aspect is a big attraction. Martin Donnelly threw good money after bad at it and it still didn’t work. Didn’t they take it abroad once? Can’t remember, but that is the only avenue really. People in london, Boston etc of Irish extract may have a hunger for it and it would be a trip for the players, which seems the only thing they go for now.
I think your off as well in people expecting a fight, that was pretty well dispelled the last time, and i would see an even more open game this time. If taken and played in right spirit then it could be a great game, imo.
Gooch has said he will never play again. Made the statement months ago, and also said it 2 years ago.
Donnelly threw money at the interpros but money alone is not enough, without the backing of Croke Park, they never stood a chance. Croke Park are happy to let them go, which is a thundering disgrace.
did Croke PArk not have the finals on one year under lights on a saturday evening, but still got fook all attendance despite the hype over it. no point in them wasting money if the public arent willing. its the time of the year thats all wrong with it. no one wants to go to travel to games in the depths of winter when its shite outside.
anywhere i can get to see this in wales? links or can i tune tg4 on the sky box
Good chance u’ll get it on net as its on eurosport as well
Coverage starting now on TG4.
Didn’t realise it was on this early myself.
Just about to tip into this, might just fuck off into the town boozing too…decisions, decisons…
1 hour build up. Had to turn it off because it was boring. I’ll tune in again in time for the anthems.
Fuck’s sake is it not starting until 7?
Some talented players on show so should be a decent enough match to watch anyway.

Hmmm. It’s a fairly shit game in my opinion. Utter dirge so far with lads tipping it around on the deck and afraid of getting their hands on it for fear of getting ragdolled in the tackle. Maybe it will develop into a more entertaining game as it opens up.
Boring!
Very dull in fairness. Had a read through some of the AFL forums earlier though and having read what they have to say I’d be satisfied with any victory over the rancid cunts.
Some of the decisions the refs are making here, it’s really hard to figure out who got the decision and why.
Having the commentary in Irish isn’t helping much.
Do they give a shit?
It seems that pretty much nobody gives a shit this year. Australia look like they might run away with it though.
Shite enough so far alright. Some terrible decision making and execution from the Irish lads. Walsh was brutal there with a goal chance.
Some of them do apparently. They also appear to be largely a race of scum.
This is appalling stuff.
The lack of bravery by several Irish players is rather embarrassing. Some of them need wing mirrors the way they’re flinching any time the ball approaches.
