He understands the psychological sude of the game very well and the word is he is a good coach and has a good practical games based approach (there is an impractical or over the top way of doing GBA as well, and very often leaves teams undercooked or even lacking hunger).
And so many mabagers get the psychological side right. Many āthinkā they know what they are doing but are iften doing more harm than good.
Its a bit of a stretch in ways, but i have liked the way he analyzes the game but i also have a coaching friend who i highly respect who inturn has good time for EB and has spoke to him on the subject.
When he didnāt step down after been awarded the man of the match award after humiliating ye by 23 points in the most complete display of hurling ever seen or likely to be again Iād say itās safe to say heāll hang around for another bit.
I hope he stays on but I donāt think the matter was ever in doubt. I want to watch him squirm and embarrass himself at least for another decade. The tide has gone out for this cunt, KK are now a bunch of losers with him at the helm. Wonderful.
Is there much reason to believe that Cody is a barrier to performance in Kilkenny? I honestly donāt think theyād be performing better without him. He puts the fear of god into the squad and officials alike. Winning an All-Ireland with the 2015 panel and even some of the wins they pulled off last year is a testament to the grip he has on the players. I reckon heāll build another winning team if he decides to stay on.
