Significant people's (not celebrities) deaths

No I don’t.

You brought it up in the first place.

I suppose this is stuff not in record books or google.

It was brought up in context and because if yesterday’s discussions on the things that are wrong thread.

I think it’s wrong also to bury your head from the reality of what alcohol does to people. It’s an irish disease and should be talked about. PM me if you really want to know.

What are you on about? Why would I want to know much about the private lives of four footballers from counties I have no connection to who retired 25-30 years ago?

I think it’s poor form to give a list of four names and make innuendos about “at least two of them” - ie. you think you know about alcohol playing a part in the deaths of two of them but aren’t sure so you’ll mention the other two in connection anyway.

You’re actually trying to claim high moral ground while spreading rumours about people. Amazing stuff.

You either want to know or you don’t.

Hypocrite.

Well you’ve already pretty much named who you’re talking about, seeing as you admitted to knowing nothing about Liam Connor (as neither did I).

I’m on no moral high ground. In fact I’m coming from a moral low ground when it comes to alcohol. I just believ alcohol needs to be discussed a lot more seriously in Ireland than it is. Being a small town hero cos you can drink 20 pints is part of the issue. Alcohol is a far bigger issue than drugs yet all over the world money is poured into sorting drugs. It’s farcical.

Fuck off Sid. You’ve been caught out. Deal with it.

If it had been someone else you’d probably have had a discussion about it.

There is having a discussion about it.

Then there is posting up unsubstantiated rumours about people who are dead.

Nothing unsubstantiated whatsoever farmer. Every man and his dog knows the story in the relative areas. Family members have spoke about it. I’m actually surprised there is this much shock about it.
Because these people are well known you would hope they would positively influence others with the truth and the dangers.

Typical irish narrow mindedness and bullshit to ignore reality. I’d expect it from MBB and goons like that but not you farmer

Contradicting yourself

Kev, all joking aside you’re making a fucking tool out of yourself at the moment with some of these posts. Just accept you’re wrong and move on.

You’re the one who brought alcohol into it with those lads but say that out of respect for their families you don’t want to go into this at length but yet a discussion is needed and we shouldn’t bury our head in the sand. And then some lads are ignoring reality somehow? But when questioned you resort to your stock stance of attacking all around you with your normal stubborn approach.

Then again, I suppose you’ll just tell me I don’t get it as normal.

Here, fuck off with this shit. You were a fucking idiot in this instance, it was a thick as dogshit thing to say about 4 men who have passed away and its not just me who’s said it. Go fuck yourself with your attempts to crawl away from it. If you were any kind of a man you’d apologise and move on but once again you’d be happier claim you’re right than do the decent thing and admit you’re wrong.

Only stumbled across this post and know exactly who he is talking about in relation to the two men. Dont understand the moral outrage considering every man and his dog knows about the problem that these men had wih alcohol.

What a meltdown.

I’m totally right, 100% right in fact. It’s amazing you didn’t show this outrage before farmers post.

My original post was one really of sadness. But you have managed to make a monumental meal of it.

I’ll say it again, and I’ll never apologise for it, until we learn our lessons and talk about the issues from what alcohol does in Ireland we’ll continue to kill good people and hurt their friends and families.

I always find people who react to this kind of discussion have some issues one way or another with drink themselves. I know this as I was one of these people in the past.

I’m not wrong at all Mac. Members of families affected by such circumstances completely agree with me. You are absolutely wrong here.

Wow.

Kevin, you’re posting unsubstantiated rumours about dead people you didn’t know. That’s the sum of it. And now you’re justifying it by claiming that the members of the families of these dead people would actually want you to spread these unsubstantiated rumours about them.

gga player drinks himself to death due to the shame of playing GGA, surely this is common?
