Sinn Fein - Populism and Partionism

We were lucky the Labour Party dealt with Emmet Stagg so swiftly when he was looking for directions in the middle of the night in in the Phoenix Park

In fairness that was in the days before sat nav.

I heard what Stanley done.

Are you on IPTV?

Iā€™d love to know how many skilled trades left the country in that period out of necessity and never returned

It isnā€™t idle gossip

Ah Jaysus

It doesnā€™t matter whether it is or not. Itā€™s the timing of it. Itā€™s too late for SF to clean up the mess.

A lot of them left but an awful lot of them took jobs in the factories in Limerick and stayed in there. When lads get used to being paid every week they get to like it.
Edit
I remember reading in the paper about ten years ago or more there was only one apprentice blocklayer serving his time.FAS should have been training up apprentices themselves seeing as there was no work for them and we wouldnā€™t have the shortage we have now of tradies

A Civil Engineer I know got well looked after during the Celtic Tiger years. Emigrated to Australia in 2012 and is driving plant machinery in a mine in North Western Australia. Heā€™d earn less now as an engineer if he returned home than he does in the mine or if he resumed Engineering, despite the time gap.

On the flip side heā€™s working in a mine in North West Australia

I think we will need more than those three to build the thousands and thousands of houses being promised.
