Ireland A -7 this evening against the scots?
To me the Ireladn A team looks far stronger with plenty in form players who are playing regular HEC.
Dont recognise many of the scots team names really.
But they beat us 67-7 in corresponding fixturee in scotland last year? That is the only thing putting me off

ya very strange. Weak irish side alright though, and Id be hoping that morale amongst the fringe players will have improved with the new coaching set up.

Pretty poor game between France and Scotland, France never really got going…the hadling of some of th scottish players was shocking!

there are no easy games in this, scotland will be hard bate, england will be hard bate, wales will be strong favs come that game, no guarantee of anything in any of those games
Great stuff from Sexton and O’Brien last night. Sexton needs a few games like that to get his confidence back. Very lucky the ref didnt see him knocking the try on! O’Brien was an animal. Barry Murphy was unlucky his mazy run didnt get a try like the one he got vs Sale in '06. Pity Darren Cave didnt get much more of a run.

wouldn’t read too much into o’brien’s performance, you could have driven a bus through the gaps in the scottish line, made him look good.
conversely, if sexton can’t control a game like that when his pack are a stone a man heavier than their opponents, he never will. most disappointing aspect of the game for me, and i don’t take any pleasure in seeing him struggle for form.
Sexton’s just a very mediocre player, nearly fucked up his try as well.
lads, sexton does have serious potential. His confidence is shot by the way he’s been played this year. He needs a solid run of games to get back to where he was.
Maybe so Maccer, I thought the same before this season. But any time Iv seen him this season he has been poor.
As someone said above, the fact that he couldnt control that game Friday night when he got a serious armchair ride, was very disappointing. All the more so when there was another in form 10 on the bench. I can only imagine the irish set up are trying to nurse him through this lull in form and rebuild his confidence.
Do you think he should leave leinster? I do, maybe go to England/France for a year to get a run of games somewhere. If you look at where he is now compared to his performances v Munster last year its not good for the lad.

The difference when Flood came on was huge.
Its very even championship based on yesterday. More so because there are no particularly great teams in it.
