Bowe for me is a cert on one wing, and in fairness to Shaggy he’s in great form, fantasic finisher and a big mutha to boot. Earls is class but we’ll see how the next to 'Ken cup games go.
Just have a soft spot for Big Bob, EOS didn’t give him a look in, the Youghal prick. Casey plays with a relation of mine with the Irish, sound bloke by all accounts.
Caseys day is gone.
Trimble might get a look in on the wing. Has been in cracking for for Ulster and has some future potential unlike Shaggy.
No Hayes? Youd also like to see Ireland play in White Jerseys with red trim no doubt and play the home games in Ravenhill with Willie JOhn reffing but its not very fucking likely
I’d like to see:
Kearney
Bowe
BOD
Wallace
Trimble
Sexton
Reddan
Heaslip
Wallace
Ferris
POC
DOC
Healy
Flannery
Court
Bit unfair dan. Want the best players regardless of which province they play for. I suspect Hayes’ scrummaging has deteriorated and a frontrow of Hayes, Flannery and Healy is far too weak in that department. Court has improved considerably in recent months imo.
Really needs to up his game. Speed and precision of passing has to be improved and needs to be much more decisive at the base of rucks. Lack of meaningful competition keeping him in at the moment.
^ O’Brien may very well be in possession of the shirt come the end of the tournament. I think he’s showing signs of slowing down but he’s been excellent for Ireland and should retain his place to begin with anyway.
If Ireland were to lose to France would Kidney be as well off giving the likes of Court and Buckely starts in the remaining 3 games seeing as the World Cup is only 19/20 months away…
I dont think its unfair at all Lar. Court was v good against Munster a few years ago and has come on leaps and bounds but to suggest that he deserves to start ahead of Hayes is either a WUM or unbelievably one eyed. Hayes is playing well, as always he is a game away from a scrummaging disaster which just never seems to happen. Court may be one for the future but thats it. I think Ross is a better all round player, looks like his move to Leinster was a bad one though. If he was at Munster he would be getting a shed load of games.
I actually would like to see Court play Dan, i’ve been impressed by him, and he has to start somewhere from an International point of view. Do you see Hayes there in NZ? If not then its time to look elsewhere. SA won a WC with one prop who wasn’t good around the pitch either, but an animal in the scrum. Name escapes me now.
Larry - Paddy Wallace, for fuck sake man, Wallace against Jouzion???!!!
Give it a rest.
Trimble not a bad call, but i think Earls is more talented, and despite Trimbles form, Earls form is still better.

Was it Oz Du Rant you are thinking of Kev, he was a beast but he was a decent enough operator around the fringes all the same, was deceptively quick for such a big man as well…
Ya Pukey, he was desceptive alright, but when you think about it, i’d say Court is still more mobile.
I think anyway there needs to be a slight change of attitude to propping Ireland, our scrums struggle at almost all levels.

No doubt that Court would be more mobile alright but Du Rant was as good a tight head as there was, serious power…I can see us struggling for the next 6 or 7 years to replace Hayes when he goes…
He was well past his peak at the last World Cup and still he was able to dominate, he was part of the 1995 team as well…He retired at one stage for about 4 years in what would have been his peak and when he returned he was still a class act…Wouldn’t know about him being the best ever(no doubt larry will know an Ulster prop from back in the day who was better ) but he was as good a loose head that I have seen
fook sake, tis flannery, not bloody flanners:guns:
ps: Leinster are a bunch of nancy boys:thumbsup:
Locke would be a confused poor old punter, especially with Rugby. Technically Killkenny is in Leinster, but most KK rugby people have an affiliation with Munster, even before Dowling. Now he also lives in Cork, so this must confuse him further. He probably hung out with a D4 head one day at a match in Dublin, and “Flanners” was mentioned. I think you should forgive him this once noddy, but only this once.
