Fair enough for the lads that played underage or even colleges with those clubs, but why is CJ Stander Shannon or Bundee Aki Galwegians? Whats the point of that? cc @gilgamboa

I’d say you have to be a paid up member of a club to be allowed wear the Ireland jersey.
They are all assigned a club. The odd time you would see them playing an AIL game if they needed a run out. Havent seen either of those lads involved with a club. Christian cullen played a few games with Midelton is about most high profile example off top of my head.
Fagan might be onto something as well in that it might be a technicality point
