Whatâs their record like in the championship over those 135 years?
Post WW2, Ireland won it in 1948, 49, 51, 73 (shared), 74, 82, 83 (shared), 85, 2009, 14 & 15.
Why did you narrow the time frame there, pal? Do I take it thatâs 11 wins in 135 attempts?
answer the question
Wouldnât be on top of exact years pre WW2. Iâd have to look it up and didnât want to feed you misinformation. Any long standing rugby fan would rattle off those years from 1948 onwards. Itâs like knowing what years your county won the All Ireland.
bizarre
Very strange
How so?
Ask Fagan
England cover the cost of their international players, France in process of doing it
The 6 nations as a competition has the highest average attendance of any international team competition in the world, over 15,000 per match ahead of its nearest rival.
Ireland likely to start a 21 year who has hardly played for his club at the weekend
Yeah but only for access isnt it? Not central contracts. in other words they pay the clubs a fee to release them for international duty.
Ah he has go way outta that.
bigger than F1?
A testament to the enduring popularity of this 135 year old sporting institution.
5 starts 5 sub appearances
Covering the bulk of the cost of these players contracts. Yes in theory paying for acess but thats semantics.
Thanks. You proved my point. He has played 10 times. A number of them in âinternationalâ competitions (Pro 14 and European Cup)
Thanks again for proving my point.
