Six Nations Rugby Championship 2020 - The Greatest Marketing Show in Town

Why does Limerick produce so few international rubby players?

The posh crew in ulster , Dublin and cork utterly have it in for the working class boys .

Limerick’s record in producing soccer internationals is worse

Limerick is the supposed home of rubby in Ireland.

True . It is first and foremost a soccer town in terms of participation . Tommy Barrett interesting views on the game in city .

Not far off I’d say. I think Conway is in better form than Earls at the moment but would be happy with either. Similar with Henshaw and Aki - hard to know which way it falls.

Limerick is awful when it comes to sport in general.

We produce loads proportionate to the size of the population of Ireland.

How many on that panel is from Limerick?

Murray, Kilcoyne and Earls.

I’d still fancy dad in a square go

Whatever floats your boat mate. We are all God’s children

A punch up I mean !! Didn’t you once live in Scotland ?

I did indeed. Three years a wegie.

He’d murder him. Farrell Snr was a great man for the headbutt in his early Wigan RL days. Super player with all the skills who was more than well able to both seek it out and mix it.

A proper hard cunt and a really great player

Farrell names his team for Scotland tomorrow apparently and Gerry Thornley is already floating what it could look like. Hard to know if he’s working off solid info or just guessing but if true some big calls:

  • Earls, O’Mahony dropped
  • Murray holds his place but presumably Cooney on the bench
  • Caolan Doris to start, CJ to 6
  • Max Deegan and Kelleher on the bench (so 3 possible new caps)

Ireland v Scotland (possible): Addison; Larmour or Conway, Ringrose, Henshaw, Stockdale; Sexton (capt), Murray; Healy, Herring, Furlong, Henderson, Ryan, Stander, van der Flier, Doris. Replacements : Kilcoyne, Kelleher, Porter, Dillane, Deegan.

Farrell setting out his anti Munster bias early.

Addison is very average.

Presume based upon Larmour being injured :man_shrugging:
