Sean Dyche seems a thoroughly alright sort.[/QUOTE]
That he is as was his predecessor Eddie Howe who very much set the wheels in motion. Hope to God they can hold onto him but he’ll certainly be a breath of fresh air for the PL. Roll on August!!

forest a point off the playoffs minus about 8 first team players. if Gary Brazil manages to get us promoted he should get the united job!

Even our first & second choice keepers are dropping now. Looks like Darlow will be back for the trip to Bournemouth though.

Congrats to Burnley. What a season given how limited their budget is, Dyche has now done two great jobs at both Watford & Burnley. How they keep finding new strikers to replace the likes if Rodriguez & Austin, I do not know.
The chase for that last playoff spot should be interesting. 7 teams in the running for it. From 6th place Brighton down to 12th place Watford. If Boro take a point off Reading tomorrow it will blow it further open.

Everything to play for.

Never heard of any of them.

(a) Harry Potts played 190 games for the club but is best known for his role as manager in guiding the Clarets to the 1959-60 League title and to the runners-up spot in both League and FA Cup in 1961-62. Harry Potts Way now runs adjacent to Turf Moor.
(b) Bob Lord was chairman of BFC for 26 years who led the club to the summit of English football whilst overseeing and nurturing a talented group of young players. The development of brand new training facilities at Gawthorpe should also not go unheeded. A stand at Turf Moor has been named in his honour.
© Jimmy Adamson’s commitment to BFC as a player, coach and manager spanned forty years. He led the club to the 1959-60 Championship and in 1961-62 became the only Burnley player ever to win Footballer of the Year.
(d) Sean Dyche is the current manager of Burnley FC who yesterday led a team who were one of the favourites for the drop last August into the Premier League. Dare say you’ll be hearing the name mentioned quite a lot throughout the 2014-15 season!

what about that burnley legend that appeared on danny dyer’s programme about football hooligans?..he was about 60 and in a pub with a load of 20 year olds telling tales about trapping away fans in the lanes around turf moor and kicking the tar out of them

Dyche will be on the dole by Christmas

Think you might be referring to Andrew Porter from Burnley Wood who has even gone as far as to pen a book on his exploits. A friend of mine from Cliviger lent it to me three years ago. Didn’t really do anything for me. The pub he was in was the Forester’s Arms on Todmorden Road which the words rough and ready would just about sum up. Suffice to say Andrew Porter isn’t exactly top of my Christmas card list and isn’t likely to be anytime soon.

They gave Brian Laws a full season in the PL. Think Sean Dyche will be afforded similar luxury.

Difference being Laws isn’t really a top manager, Dyche is. He’s the real deal. I like his interviews too, always speaks common sense, never moans about injuries or makes critical comments about the ref - Clough taught him well at Forest.

Leicester are champions after that 1-0 win over Bolton. Reading replace Brighton in the last playoff spot having beaten Boro 2-0.

Any 1 from 6 for that last spot, it’s gonna be interesting.

Heading to Bournemouth Forest on Saturday in the Goldsands. Both teams still have an outside chance of making the playoffs. It should be a good game.

Listen, there’s no “outside chance”. In the words of Loughnane
we’re going to do it!

Do a match report sure. Enjoy!

Race for the play off spots getting very interesting. Unless I’m mistaken all teams from Watford up are in with a shout. Best wishes to all concerned. See one of you in the PL. Well done Leicester.

They did in their fuck, he took charge well after Christmas after Coyle fucked off to Bolton. Seems like a huge cock-up for a supposed Burnley super fan

Meant to say a full year rather than a full season. He was in charge for almost all of 2010 part of which coincided with their time in the PL. I wouldn’t be the first Burnley supporter to have put Owen Coyle to the back of my mind!

A horrible horrible man is Owen “Barclays Premier League” Coyle. The biggest moaner going, and a terrible loser. It’s always the fault of the ref, or the wind or injuries. Can’t stand to listen to him. Himself & Pulis should be locked in a cupboard together and left to rot.

5 minutes in and it’s all Bournemouth. Forest fans singing “you’ve never won fuck all”. Ian Harte starts.

Forest down 1-0 at HT, sounds like it should well be more, Reading losing too, Brighton being gifted the final play off spot as it stands
