I’ve taken a half sleeping tablet every night for the last two weeks or so. I usually listen to a podcast to make me drift off and it usually does the trick within about 15 minutes but I guess you don’t have that option unless you go down to the couch.
In July and August there I was aiming for minimum 10k steps per day with the walking. Strangely enough I found it hard to sleep then and frequently wouldn’t get any more than about four hours and be drained the next day. I’d be walking a thousand steps a day tops currently I’d say.
Have given up tea and coffee since getting the eye problem.
As someone who finds it very hard to shut my brain off, I’d second listening to something whether a podcast or an audiobook. There’s two schools of thought there, a family member and a few friends recommend a boring or monotonous one, even some fella shiting on lecturing on YouTube or what have you. A favourite of one friend is old religious lectures. The flip side is something that requires detailed attention. I find history or science based ones great to take my mind off whatever is plaguing it and also tiring me out as I’ve to focus to listen
If you can’t hack the headphones and audio, squishy earbuds are a God send, especially for light sleepers.
Can you talk to anyone about changing your schedule in work to one that’s even a bit more regular? Or else take days on the early starts, half days if possible. It’s an ongoing struggle mate I’ve actually donea bit better the last few months sticking as much as I can to the mantra of don’t even attempt to sleep until I’m very tired
Is this the stuff you get in drops? I tried it years ago and noticed no difference but might give it another go. I’d use nightol regularly enough but it sounds like batigol needs a more robust solution.
