I tried the drops but the taste would linger in my throat all night, it was rotten.

I eat very little sugar. I’m tempted to try a carnivore diet for a bit alright, just as an experiment.

It’s gotten really bad lately. I even look tired constantly, which I never did before.

Make sure you don’t neglect the fat if you go carnivore, eating lean meat will tank your Testosterone.

I wouldn’t go lean.

How long are you gone off shifts? Takes a while to normalize I think.

I was reading recently about the guy who set the record at the time by staying up 11 days straight. Sure if he can do it what harm is a day etc… It completely fucked up his life. His circadian rhythm never really recovered decades later.

Huberman has a few ok podcasts about altering sleep and awake time

On my second week off of them.

Not loving it so far tbh.

A friend was telling me there’s two types, I forget the names. One completely disagreed with her but one was great. Wish I could recall which was which.

Alcohol absolutely ruins sleep mate. You’re big into the gym, if you’re awake at 5 every day could you just work with it and be in the gym at 6?

I’d say they’re the only pints I’ve had in 4 weeks.

I’ve been meaning to but the energy just isn’t there at that hour of the morning (or indeed at all, really) for the past few weeks.

I never had much of a problem with sleep all of my adult life until about 5 years ago.
For some reason it just became very difficult for me to nod off and to stay asleep at that point…
Ive tried a good few different approaches but the only one that works for me most of the time is as follows

  1. Careful what you eat in the evening…lighter and less red meat best for me
  2. Go for a 15 minute walk at about 9 or 930.
This is not a power walk and not a stroll…something in between… Also do the deep diaphragmatic breathing 4-5-6 while you are walking…try to process your day while walking and breathing
3 Bed about 1045 and read until you feel ‘sleepy tired’ this might take 10 mins or much longer but keep reading till you get to that point…

Good luck falling into the arms of morpheus !!

Bressie has a great sleeping tip.

Breathe in. 1, 2, 3…all the way up to 10 while picturing yourself almost seeping into the pillow.

Breathe out. 1, 2, 3…all the up to 10 while picturing yourself becoming detached from the pillow & floating up to the clouds.

You’ll be asleep then.

Think he might have a very reasonably priced sleep course actually.

Trying to remember who won each golf major since 1987 and the course each major was played on is a very effective way of falling asleep. I don’t charge for this advice.

All US Masters golf majors since 1987 and have been played at Augusta National, so that’s a handy start for anybody who wants to take on this sleep challenge.
