The issue isn’t that nobody wants to pay for it. It’s that people don’t want to pay inflated wages due to inflexible work practices
Nobody has suggested cutting the PSO obligation for rural routes. We all know that needs a subvention.
The loss making arm of Bus Eireann is Expressway, the commercial arm. The school buses are mostly farmed out to private operators for a fee.
They simply cannot compete.
What a quite lovely post
Seeing as you have the report already, what changed from 2014 to 2015?
Rodgers left and Kloppo came in?
Donal left Teege on his own for 2015 without a pre-season would have been more original
Have you proof that the wages are inflated ?
What’s the standard you gauge their pay rate from ?
Explain how the staff are being inflexible?
Is that the storyline from some shit soap opera?
I’m asking about BE drivers. How much are they overpaid by ?
Whats the story with the free travel pass mate?
Have you put that argument to bed yet?
€9,500
39k for Aircoach. 52k for BE. Both include employer pension contributions. 33% more that private which is below the average of 40% their civil service colleagues premium.
Are you trying to say something here or just lashing various words and figures at the screen?
What standard is that set against ?
Ah now. Please stop using that lazy catch all figure of 40% higher PS pay. We’re talking bus drivers here and no other sectors.
Why and how did you pick the aircoach drivers to gauge the entire industry wage against ?
Because Air Coach runs similar services to Expressway. Ditto Go Bus. Full time services.
This is about a failing commercial entity.
Tim schooling the want something for nothing brigade here.
Do aircoach provide PTO?
