St Johnstone v Celtic ☘

St Johnstone were comfortably the best team in Scotland last year - winning over 66% of the elite domestic trophies. To even close the gap on them this year would have been some achievement but as you say we’ve actually made them look quite ordinary today.

This Parish lad has made some great saves

Dawson is playing rightly.

I don’t like seeing a few lads on a team doing hamstrings in this day and age …

The absence of any fans in the stadium doesn’t help either. Hopefully all sports matches don’t go back that way.

It’s a worrying trend alright but hopefully having some proper depth in the attacking and midfield areas from January onwards might help in that regard.

You’d wonder is it something in training they are doing /not doing … the whole idea of S&C is to prevent these types of injuries…

Fuck. We’ve dropped the pace here and punished.

Terrible pass by Starfelt to give it away in the Celtic half. I thought McCarthy could have recognised that CCV had two to cover earlier and burst his hole to sprint back at an angle to get to Kane. As it was, CCV was exposed and it was a good cross and great header.

Excellent finish.

Rogic has been terrific.

This will hopefully avert what might have been an awkward last ten.

Joey Dawson is very pacey.

Rogic is the best player in the world by a distance.

Bitton has played well in that more advanced role. It’s not natural to him but he played well on the front foot.
