O’Connell in for Denayer today. And Wakaso starting on the right (McGergor central instead of Commons) and looking bright.
A few bright sparks but overall quite uninspiring again so far. Stokes hairline is a positive, O’Connell looks fairly assured, Izaguirre is playing better than he was a couple of weeks ago and Guidetti is making lots of good runs but rarely being found.
Couple of penalty shouts turned down. Virgil was clearly held back earlier from a free kick at the edge of the 6 yard box. Good challenge just now from Tesselar on Guidetti but Goodwin dived in from behind and got nothing. He’s a bit of a thug is Goodwin.
I’d like to see us trying Stokes centrally behind Guidetti for a bit. Don’t think McGregor has enough passing or presence to play in there. Would obviously be lacking a bit more defensively but we could get McGregor and Wakaso to play a bit more withdrawn.

Neil McCann hopefully wondering aloud whether Guidetti might have been offside. He claimed earlier that Van Dijk was nearly a fraction offside.
I think that went in off Guidetti’s arse. Wakaso has also been quite decent.
Yep Wakaso looks a threat. Good direct running, loads and loads of pace but he’s comfortable taking it in and beating his man in tight situations too. I think Guidetti’s movement has been encouraging too, looks like he’s always threatening behind and around the box - something we’ve been badly lacking since Hooper left.
FFS. Awful throw from Gordon, what was he doing? Good save to recover initially but nothing to be done about the rebound. Crazy throw though.
Defence are getting pelters on twitter for not reacting to rebound first but not sure there was much they could go. Gordon gifted them the ball in a really dangerous area and with our defence understandably completely out of shape. The rebound falling to them was fortune, not a lack of effort on our part I don’t think.
Correct. Gordon badly misplaced a throw out and they worked a shot which he saved but knocked home the rebound.
McGregor hardly involved at all. And just as I was typing that he hits a shot and earns a corner. Don’t think he’s involved enough though. Need someone in that #10 position who will be getting on the ball regularly.
That was very poor from Gordon alright. His first bad error in an otherwise strong start to his Celtic career. Let’s see what we have about us now. Again, I think Johansen is jogging around doing fuck all. Not sure what he’s meant to be doing.
Ambrose has done ok today for the most part but absolutely destroyed there by Wylde who bullied him. Shocking defending - ball watching, weak and slow.
Goodwin is a thug. Should have been booked at least once earlier - the challenge on Brown a few moments ago was a shocker. Then straight through Guidetti to finally get his card.
I’m generally keener on him than you but he’s been useless today alright.

Brilliant ball from Stokes - always looks much better playing centrally with a partner. Finish from Guidetti wasn’t outstanding but it counted and his movement has been good all game.
