Rúibín? I don’t think so unless I’m forgetting a spot.
Wasn’t there a Padraigín’s or a Neachtains down there? I could be showing my age… and brain cell loss from my wasted youth
Yeah, Padraigs was an early house on the docks years ago, I believe it closed after he (Padraig), passed away and is now know as Ruibín.
Cheers @Jimmy_Mc_Nulty, the oul head not gone yet. I spent a couple of mornings in it after a shift the night before in S’macs Eyre Sq.
She must have been a bad shift if you required a drink after it
That spot was closed before that asteroid wiped out the dinosaurs
Padraig’s was the early house on the docks. Was in there a couple times back in the day. A mixture of hardcore alcoholics, people coming off night shift who popped in for a drink and college kids with eyes like saucers, coming down off whatever collection of pills they were on the night before. There was a pool table in there from memory.
You’re only a gasún. You probably don’t remember even Asteroids in Funworld
Fun times 9/10 hours work, nothing soft in there that time
Tell me about how Salthill was the happening spot back in the late 70’s and early 80’s there, seanfhear.
Well… we used to cycle there and back… we could be gone a couple of days ya know. We’d especially to watch the Cashel boys and the Turloughíns knock 7 shades out of each other at Seapoint
The aul lad reckons he threw his first and only punch back in the Warwick before promptly being turfed into the drunk tank
I got fucked out of the Oasis meself one night. T’was my last
Sounds like my kinda place until I read the last sentence.
Darts snob
I detest pool tables in a pub unless there’s out the back in a separate room.
Was a separate room out back from memory.
Ye hardly were in Mullens earlier were ye @BruidheanChaorthainn ?
Was some noise out the back at fulltime.
