Stage Dublinness -a Roy šŸ Curtis education

Will the Gingerman feature as a festive favourite?
Or will it be somewhere like Nesbitts or Toners?

Iā€™d be shocked if it did. Toners would be the nearest youā€™d get

On the 7th day he rested

-12. Chaplins
-11. The Bank
-10. Nearys
-9. Kehoes
-8. Briodys
-7. Mulligans

The Palace & The Long Hall two certs.

That leaves 4 more spots.
Is he a fan of the Boars Head or any other north side establishments?

Roy is very much a south of the Liffey man.

Four from these 12 Iā€™d say descending in order of likelihood.

Boweā€™s
Dame Tavern
Lord Edward
Clearyā€™s (heā€™ll have to include one more north of the Liffey)
Tonerā€™s
Peterā€™s Pub
Confession Box (another northside possibility)
Groganā€™s
McDaidā€™s
International
Dawson Lounge
Hartiganā€™s

Grogans and McDaids probably
Plus a northside choice

Roy has the forum on tenterhooks

The Palace must feature.

I canā€™t handle the suspense.

Does Roy sup pints around Croker on those momentous summer days?

Cassidys will surely feature ?

Had to happen eventually, phone dropped in a toilet apparently

Or a ā€œbaptismal font of beeriodsā€, as the bard might put it.

Prick

Itā€™s all about ceilings. Has this list now reached its ceiling? The Palace was the one we were all waiting for, the centrepiece.

Heā€™s getting a bit predictable, isnā€™t he? Most people would have a fair go at naming 10 of his 12. Is this what he wants to be known as - a mediocre journalist and a first class alco? This list is safe, formulaic, predictable and littered with bad prose - a bit like the rag Roy writes for.
