Dublin underage soccer moving to summer next season isn’t it? I don’t live in Dublin but good mate of mine has his kid out in Peamount and he was telling me about it. My mate is former underage international and played LOI and LSL for 20 years after that and FWIW he couldn’t be more impressed with the standard of coaching and facilities available to his young lad who is only 7
Good man. You should do that on a lot more threads
Lots of clubs around the country going that way…tho Limited compared to Dublin obviously. Pike in Limerick have proper coaches with badges got for all their underage AFAIK… The brother has the nephew up there and he says it’s a fantastic set up… I know Limerick are pulling in lads from all over Munster at all age groups also… It’s slowly shifting away from playing the big fella.
Apparently every kid gets his own ball for the entire session so getting huge amount of touches. Non competitive, small sided games as well.
What’s FAI doing with the old convent in Bruff? Seemed an unreal bizarre purchase
I haven’t a clue, mate…ghost tours perhaps?? The Nephew, 6, stands fixing his hair and demanding ball to feet the little shit knows where the target is tho, clearly not taking after me. But yeah it’s all mini sessions and getting used to the ball . Guys and gals.
We’ll know a lot more then as to which is the most popular.
Both sports only cross over now for a few weeks either end of the seasons.
Can’t see how both can have peak season games at the same time.
Big gamble from the soccer crowd.
As I said I don’t live in Dublin so don’t know for definite. By mates young lad plays GAA as well and their season is over already. Doesn’t run through the summer apparently. Assume that’s just for young kids though
July and August are normally fucked with juveniles away on holidays etc.
Most championships are ran off over April, May and June. It’ll be interesting to see how the soccer fits into it all.
More people play and watch football mate.this could fuckthe gga up even more
We’ll see.
